Milky Way Image featured in RASC Journal

Very cool to have my image of the Milky Way above Costa Rican skies featured in the December issue of the RASC journal. This is a first-time honour for me.

Taken around 4am during a trip in 2022, the image brings back the wonder I felt at unexpectedly seeing the looming Galactic Core overhead (I’ve only ever seen it at the horizon in Ontario/Maine). In the city, with all the light pollution, you can’t expect to walk out and see the Milky Way on the horizon; you just see the stars that you happen to know are in the area, and let your imagination fill in what would be there if it were dark enough.
