Vishal Bhardwaj’s haunting soundtrack to this 1996 film is probably among my top favourite albums of all time.

Other tunes from this soundtrack are more popularly covered, but I felt drawn to the searing emotion in this one. I did my best to convey the heartbreak. It was Lata Mangeshkar’s birthday yesterday, so I selected this tune as one that I connect with. I just rolled wth Vishalji’s arrangement and produced it from scratch in Ableton.
