Quilted laptop sleeve

Quilted laptop sleeve! ????

Because, why drop $50 on a fancy sleeve when you can spend hours making it yourself? ? And then mess up, and spend quality time with your dream ripper while listening to Steinbeck? #priceless

Made using upholstery fabric from cushions I made in 2011 or 2012, mismatched velcro in my stash, and bias binding from who-knows-what project. ?

Perfect for camouflaging the laptop on the couch. ??

First time quilting. The quilting foot was actually easy to use, and I had an unopened pack of batting kicking around (my stash is like Mary Poppin’s carpet bag). I need chalk lines that won’t rub off easily. Not having quilting stencils, I just used a ruler and eyeballed 45 degrees (cough). If I get into more quilting projects, I’ll invest in those tools, but for just this project, this was fine.

My laptop is now protected against getting schmutz in its usb ports!

Don’t know about you, but in these overwhelming times, I find the starting and finishing of concrete projects, that make functional things, very grounding and actually therapeutic.

Now that I’ve been good and finished what I started, I can move back to the masks.
